Sumatran Orangutans are critically endangered, with only ~7,000 left in the wild. Join us to visit them in their natural home. We will start our trek with a 1-hour hike high up into the jungle to observe orangutan up close. Stay and watch them glide through the branches, care for their babies, and feast on fruits. We will have a snack of fruits ourselves along the route, and can enjoy a cool and fun river tubing ride back to town ! The jungle is a rich ecosystem with so much to explore. See the magical and endangered orangutan, but also look for white and black gibbons and Thomas Leaf monkeys. Let us know what animals you're interested in, and we will guide you to see hornbills, terrapin turtles, monitor lizards, and more. Learn about the critically endangered Sumatran tigers, rhinos, sun bears, and flying fox bats. We can discuss ways to help save these species while exploring their beautiful habitat.
